What is the difference between leeches and lampreys?
A leech is a segmented worm (think of earthworms), while a lamprey is a primitive vertebrate (it has a spinal chord, but not a true spine). Their lifestyles are somewhat comparable, though, inasmuch as they both live in water and many species of both groups suck the blood of other animals.
