Where are the cities in the end?
End Cities are naturally generated structures found in the outer islands of the End. Players can access this area of the End after defeating the Ender Dragon by finding the floating portal that appears somewhere around the main End map’s edge.
How far apart are end cities?
By default, it will be set to 12 chunks. We’ve increased our render distance to 32 chunks which is the maximum. Make sure you choose a render distance that your computer can handle without glitching.
Are there infinite cities in the end?
End cities generate infinitely. There is no distance where they stop generating.
Do END cities exist?
End cities are found in two of the four End biomes, including the midlands, and are most common in the highlands. These structures hold some of the best loot in not only the End, but also the best loot in all of Minecraft. End cities are relatively uncommon, so you may not find one right away.
How many Elytras spawn in the end?
No, it doesn’t matter how many times you kill the ender dragon. You can find an almost unlimited amount of elytra, but it is very difficult, as end cities spawn differently then other generated structures, using a random number generator to decide whether they should spawn.
Is the end Dimension infinite?
No, the end is not endless. As stated in the Official Minecraft Wiki: Its default size and location remain the same across all three dimensions. Meaning that the world border in the end will also be the same as in the overworld, so around 30 million blocks away (from 0,0).
Is Ender Dragon stronger than wither?
On Minecraft Java Edition, the health stats of both bosses are comparable, with the Ender dragon clocking in at 200 points and the wither at 300. The wither has a mind-boggling 600 health points, whereas the Ender dragon remains with a measly 200 points.
Can you skip the Ender Dragon?
Yes, it is possible. Yes, it is very useful to do it (despite of what the other answers seem to suggest). And yes… it will be a painful experience. It’s worth it early in game, when you’re still not ready to take down the Dragon, but really want an elytra and ender chests.

Loot from chests within the end city itself can include enchanted iron/diamond armor, swords, pickaxes, and shovels, beetroot seeds, diamonds, iron ingots, gold ingots, emeralds, saddles, and horse armor. The two chests inside of End ships usually contain more materials than tools or armor.
